Official Contest Rules & Guidelines

1. Entry Fee
   The entry fee is $50 per contestant.
   Do NOT send payment until your application has been approved by the Mower County Fair Board.
2. Application Approval Required
   All contestants must submit a completed application and receive approval from the Mower County Fair Board before participating in the contest and must be 16 years or older.
3. Contestant Limit
   The contest is limited to 10 contestants only. Applications will be accepted until all spots are filled.
4. Amateur Contest Only
   This competition is intended for amateur singers only. Professional singers or individuals who regularly perform professionally for income are not eligible to compete.
5. Family-Friendly Entertainment
   All performances must remain family-friendly.
   • No profanity
   • No inappropriate lyrics or gestures
   • No offensive or explicit content
   The Mower County Fair Board reserves the right to disqualify any contestant who violates these standards.
6. Song Approval Required
   All song selections must be submitted in advance and approved by the Mower County Fair Board prior to the event.
7. Song Changes
   Once songs have been approved, changes may not be allowed.
8. Multiple Rounds of Competition
   Contestants must be prepared to participate in multiple rounds of competition leading up to the Final Sing-Off.
9. Check-In & Arrival Time
   Contestants must arrive and check in by 6:00 p.m. on the night of the contest.
   The first round of competition will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m.
10. Waiver Requirement
    Each contestant must sign a waiver of liability before participating in the event.
11. Board Decisions Final
    All decisions made by the judges and the Mower County Fair Board are final.
12. Right to Refuse Participation
    The Mower County Fair Board reserves the right to refuse or revoke participation for failure to follow contest rules or conduct standards.
